Kidney Help
My health is failing
Hi all!
Happy holidays. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Sorry it’s been so long in messaging you, but I’ve been dealing with a health issue that has been slowly sapping more and more of my energy. I’m in stage five kidney failure due to a genetic disorder called “Polycystic Kidney Disease”. Stage five is the final stage before I will have to go on dialysis. Dialysis prolongs your life about 3-4 years, at which point you either find a donor, or it’s the end of the road.
The reason I’m messaging you all is that if you know of anyone who might be willing to donate a kidney, please share the link below with them. They don’t have to be a blood type match; there is a service that matches several donors together to form a kind of donation chain.
In any case, I hope this message finds you well, and again, please consider donating.
Sincerely,
Taylor

This wasn't necessarily a comment, but I don't know how to contact you personally. Kidney failure/cancer/etc. is not an automatic dialysis sentence. I've know people who were having to go on dialysis within a few days - curing their problem by getting their kidneys to function again - simply by going on a "melon diet" for 3 straight days. That is 3 days, eating nothing but melons (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, cucumbers, etc.) It helps the kidneys reboot.
